Source: CanTEST

A white powder sample presented as 2C-B found to contain 4-fluroramphetamine (4-FA) AND 25C-NBe

What is a 4-FA/25C-NBOMe Combination? 4-FA is an amphetamine with some similar effects to MDMA, however the onset takes longer and lasts longer than MDMA and provides less of the desired MDMA effects. 25C-NBOMe is a potential hallucinogen. It belongs to a class of powerful stimulants (phenethylamines). Often referred to as ‘synthetic LSD’ but of considerably higher toxicity.

Individually, these drugs have caused deaths. Combined, the dangers are increased. The combination of these drugs was associated with four deaths in Melbourne in 2017. Other deaths overseas and many hospitalisations. This combination presents a significant danger if consumed and was concerningly sold as 2C-B.

Effects can include agitation, vivid hallucinations, seizures, high temperature, kidney and other organ failure, heart attack and stroke. Effects of 25C-NBOMe can lead to accidents and harm to yourself or others.

Start low and go slow. Even a small dose can be fatal or cause a seizure. Start with a quarter of your ‘usual’ dose. The risk of harm from 25C-NBOMe increases when snorting, injecting or shelving.

Know the signs. Call an ambulance (000) immediately if you see waning signs of unexpected reactions to drugs.
